FAQS

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I book my date?

As soon as possible. Dates are reserved on a first come first serve basis. A 50% non refundable deposit is required.

What type of materials do you use?

I love working in oils! Italian oil paints are simply beautiful, shiny and blend together wonderfully while I’m working quickly. Their high quality pigments are a guarantee that that colours will last for generations.

What happens if my wedding is cancelled or postponed due to COVID? ?

If your event should be cancelled or postponed due to COVID-19, the non-refundable deposit will become a voucher for for 2022-23 or go towards a wedding portrait or wedding flower painting.

What do you require during the event?

I will bring all of the necessary materials: paints, brushes, easel, easel lamp. I do need a space of about 6ft. x 6ft. (2m. x 2m.) in order to work comfortably and have your guests enjoy the painting process. My work area also needs to have a free view of the scene I will be painting.

Can my guests talk to the artist during the painting?

Absolutely! It’s always a pleasure to engage with your guests. Many people have never seen a painting take place before and I understand how special this can be.

How long will you be painting at my wedding?

I like to get started 3 hours before the start of your wedding in order to set up my painting area and quickly get an initial sketch in so by the time your guests arrive they can see that the painting is starting to appear. I will paint 3-4 hours during your celebration.

Do I get to choose who goes in my painting?

The day of painting focuses on the bride and groom includes choreography of specific guests. Most people can be identified in my paintings by key features such as hair color and clothing, but I do keep the faces of guests other than the bride and groom (or other VIP guests) painted a little more loosely so as to keep the focus on the most important people, and to preserve a sense of motion in the painting.

What size will my painting be?

I am currently offering 70 x 100 cm. / 27.5 x 39.3 in. and

90 x 120 cm. / 35.4 x 47.2 in., however if you would like a different format or larger canvas,

please email me for a quote.

Do you travel outside of Italy?

Yes, I do travel in Europe, the mediterranean and beyond.

When will my painting be ready?

At the end of the evening, I will take your painting back to the studio to complete it by adding all the precious details to make it the absolute best. The ATELIER STYLE painting can take 3-4 weeks to complete. The IMPRESSIONIST STYLE takes 2-3 days to complete. Once your painting has been finished, I will send you photos for your approval.
