Imagine having flown half way around the world to the Belpaese, Italy and participating in your dear friend or family’s black tie celebration. Everyone is all dolled up, the string quartet is playing under the centenarian Magnolia tree and accompanies the first guests as they slowly stroll into the parterre with its alleys, hedges and cypresses. The waiters serve your drinks as the sun goes down gradually and the evening is about to unfold.
You know you would like to have a memento of the event and somehow a photograph cannot quite capture the mood of all your friends & family at the same moment. Here is where the magic of drawing, composition and reference photographs come into play.
Grand Luxury Cocktail Drawings Process
Caridad draws her Grand Luxury Cocktail Drawings using the finest graphite and coloured pencil on 300 gram Fabriano Artistico Paper. All beautiful things necessitate time and these cocktail drawings are no exception.
She and her assistant arrive at your celebration and take hundreds of reference photographs during the cocktail. Their photographs are never posed. With their artistic eye they are able to capture those small seemingly insignificant gestures that harken back to historical renaissance paintings.
Upon returning to the studio, she goes through all of the photographs and choose a selection to compose your drawing.
Once your drawing is ready, she will send photographs for your approval. Afterwards your drawing will be carefully rolled in a cardboard tube and shipped via international insured courier.
